The finer you mill your grain, the higher your efficiency will be. I advise you to keep reducing the gap slightly every time you brew. If you have runoff problems open it back up a bit next time. I got a Corona for $30. It does a good job, but it is slightly more harsh on the grains, IMO, than a roller type mill. When grain goes through the milling plates, it is cracked but also ground down a little bit. It isn't a huge deal, but it isn't optimal. For the price, you can't beat a Corona mill with a 10 foot stick.

The side with the adjusting knobs has two long screws with lock washers. The spinning roller side has two small screws, no lock washers. Just remove all 4 screws. Both sides removed. The ends should pull off easily. There is some crud build up on the end plates. The other end needs cleaned too.

I the flaw is more related to the size of the rollers and the bearings used. When grain dust builds up in the edges (where the rollers meet the body and bearings), the surface area on the 1.25" x 5" rollers isn't quite enough to overcome the added friction. Even after a thorough cleaning, the passive roller is still having trouble spinning.
